Dragline Bucket Longevity Initiative

 Description:

Through working together with our client & understanding their goals, Mainetec developed & assisted with the site-specific bucket advantage program (BAP).   

Purpose:

To lower the financial year overhaul cost & maximise overhaul cost vs banked cubic metres (BCM’s).

Timeframe:

Working together from 2014 & continuously improving.  

Boundaries/ Obstacles:

Meeting overhaul turnaround timeframes due to limited production assets at the time.

People involved:

Combined effort from Mainetec’s on-site & workshop group, along with the Saraji Field Maintenance team.

Innovation:

Production bucket replaceable basket, Supply Mainetec manufactured castings, Overhaul solutions to gain BCM targets.

Success:

Achieving an 88% increase in BCM bucket life within 3yrs & eliminating 4 bucket yearly overhauls.

Carry out 6 week overhauls through pre planning & Mainetec replaceable basket.
