We are currently looking for a suitable candidate to fill the full-time position of HR & Payroll manager.  

 

HR & Payroll Manager

To succeed in this role applicants should have the following personal attributes and qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of HR processes and procedures
  • HR related tertiary qualification will be highly regarded
  • At least 3 years recent payroll processing experience
  • A detailed understanding of current payroll legislation
  • Able to maintain an impartial and confidential work ethic
  • Mature minded, flexible, can-do attitude
  • Able to meet competing priorities
  • Willing to work to our values of Safety, Quality, Equality, Honesty and Respect
  • Experience working for heavy manufacturing business

 

The role will consist of 4.5 days HR & 0.5 days Payroll. Duties will include:

  • Calculation & management of weekly payroll for 90+ employees 
  • Ensuring all associated statutory and other employee payments are made accurately and to time
  • Ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of payroll system
  • Manage Labour Hire providers
  • Management of Workers Compensation claims & Return to Work 
  • Advise on all contractual and legal ER requirements
  • Management of the recruitment of all employees
  • Maintenance of training records and bookings for all employees
  • Assisting with the maintenance of all HR related policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure that currency and consistency is achieved
  • Management and filing of personnel files and records
