Fabrication and Repair

When it comes to Fabrication and Repairs – Mainetec is the business. We have the ability to fabricate any job including dragline buckets, walkways, chutes, stairs, wear liners, excavator buckets, booms, sticks and side frames. Our capabilities extend to repairs and major rebuilds; often re-engineering equipment and parts to improve efficiency and durability, reducing costs and minimising future downtimes.

Our facility in Mackay covers 2,000 square metres under roof with 3,750 square metres of concrete lay-down area. Our fully equipped workshop boasts 2×50 tonne cranes with a 100-tonne lift capacity. We love a challenge and can handle the biggest to the smallest of jobs, delivering tailor-made solutions to your specific requirements.

Plasma Transfer Arc Welding (PTAW)

Mainetec is proud to have been the first business in Queensland to invest in PTAW technology. Developed in Europe and North America, Mainetec has made this technology an integral part of the Australian resource sector. PTAW is suited to a wide range of applications and industries and is the perfect way to extend service life, reduce downtime and ultimately, reduce costs.

Design and Drafting

Our design and drafting services will bring your ideas to life. Using the latest 3D drafting technology, we work with our clients to design, enhance and refurbish equipment to Australian Standards, either from our workshop or on-site. We can supply drawings from concept to workshop, installation and General Arrangement.

Want to know how your idea is going to cope under stress and fatigue? We can do that! With our Finite Element Analysis (FEA) any scenario is possible for us to simulate to ensure your designs are not going to crack under pressure.

 We can also use our rendering software, to bring your designs to life in a realistic image that will give you and your business a clear understanding of your idea’s end product.

Condition Monitoring and Technical Services

At Mainetec we believe in being proactive. We know that unexpected downtime can come at a major cost to our clients. Our team of specialists work with you to maximise productivity while minimising interruptions to your production schedule. On-site machine audits and periodic condition monitoring programs ensure that our customers achieve maximum cycle time from their assets without jeopardising productivity. We can produce a range of monitoring reports tracking asset movements, wear rates, BCMs and costs, depending on individual requirements.

Site Labour Supply

We can supply quality, inducted staff to meet your labour requirements. We provide the whole package – including a fleet of mine compliant vehicles and welding trailers, as well as two fully equipped site containers, for jobs of longer duration.
